Elaboration

  • Close all of the Email Client(s): Outlook, MS Mail, Thunderbird, etc.
  • Take Outlook as example, go to *C:\Users\YourUserID\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook* folder.
  • Delete the .ost and .nst files
  • Re-launch the Outlook app and it should fetch all of your emails from the cloud.
    The fetching process may take a while, depending on how fast your Internet is.
